`ExecStartPre` ran `alembic -c /opt/meshbay-hub/migrations/alembic.ini upgrade
head`. The build does stage that file, so the path existed and the contents
were wrong: `alembic.ini` resolves `script_location` with `%(here)s`, so the
copy pointed at `/opt/meshbay-hub/migrations/src/meshbay_hub/db/migrations` —
which nothing installs, because the migrations ship inside `meshbay_hub`, in
the shared venv.

`ExecStartPre` failing stops the unit. A hub installed from the RPM or the DEB
could not start at all, and nothing noticed because the one live deployment
was assembled by hand — the same shape as the node unit that carried `User=`
into the user unit directory.

The same `%(here)s` trap was already found once on the server, where a stray
`alembic.ini` resolved to a month-old snapshot of the tree. Twice is a trap
rather than an accident, so the fix is that the path is no longer written down
anywhere: `meshbay-hub migrate` asks the installed package where its own
migrations are, which is correct for the RPM, the DEB, a venv and a checkout.
The build stages no `alembic.ini`; the repo keeps its own for `alembic
revision` and for deploy scripts that already work.

`env.py` now prefers a URL the caller resolved over re-reading the environment
itself, so `migrate --config` connects with exactly the string the server
will — one resolution, not two that agree until they do not.

Six tests, three of which fail against the unit as it was. They read the
directives rather than the file, because searching the whole thing finds the
comment explaining a directive and calls that the directive.

fix(packaging): actually ship the TMDB token, on Linux and Windows

default.env was empty in every build, for three independent reasons:

1. build-node.sh read QE/node.env, which does not exist. Even pointed at the
real file it would have failed: its `grep MESHBAY_TMDB_DEFAULT_TOKEN=`
cannot match QE/tmdb.txt, which is a free-form note, not KEY=VALUE.

2. Nothing consumed default.env. packaging/README.md and build-node.sh both
claimed `meshbay-node init` copies it to <config>/node.env; grep found the
name in exactly two places, the README and the script that writes it. No
code implemented the copy, and `EnvironmentFile=-` hid the absence.

3. build-win.ps1 had no env handling at all, so Windows was empty for a
   different reason than Linux.

Now: the build extracts the v4 read token -- tmdb.py sends `Authorization:
Bearer`, so it is the JWT, not the 32-char v3 key beside it in the same file --
matching KEY=VALUE first and then by shape, from MESHBAY_TMDB_TOKEN,
MESHBAY_TMDB_TOKEN_FILE, QE/node.env, QE/tmdb.txt. It writes default.env 0600
and *fails the build* if no token resolves; MESHBAY_ALLOW_NO_TMDB=1 opts out.
An empty default.env is invisible until a user opens Videos and finds no
metadata, which is how this shipped empty on two platforms at once.

platform.py gains packaged_default_env()/install_node_env()/load_node_env().
init copies the packaged file once, never overwriting an existing node.env,
and the daemon loads node.env itself at startup: systemd does this on Linux
via EnvironmentFile, but Windows autostart is a Startup-folder .vbs with no
equivalent. Already-set variables always win.

Also fixes an UnboundLocalError in main(): `config_dir` was assigned at the
top of the init branch, which made it function-local for all of main(), while
the reset branch calls `config_dir()` as the imported function. init returns
before that line, so `meshbay-node reset` could only ever raise. The local is
now cfg_dir.

Verified end to end on Linux: token baked (239 chars), init writes
<config>/node.env 0600 with it. The PowerShell half is written but unrun --
no pwsh on this machine.

feat(packaging): ship a node firewall profile for inbound WebRTC

The packages carried a profile for LAN casting and none for the node's own
peer traffic, on the reasoning that the node exposes only a loopback admin
API. That is true of its administration surface and false of its transport.

WebRTC binds an ephemeral UDP port per connection, so there is no fixed port
to open, and a connection succeeds only if one side can initiate. Browsers
publish their host candidate as an mDNS `<uuid>.local` name, which aioice
cannot resolve on any platform and discards — so the node can never call a
browser back, and the browser must call the node. A node that refuses
unsolicited inbound UDP is unreachable from every browser on its own LAN,
leaving reflexive candidates, which fail whenever both peers share one public
IP and the router will not hairpin.

Hit twice in one session on two different hosts: a firewalld zone narrowed to
mdns + 19550-19553/tcp, and a ufw host with default deny-incoming. Both
presented as "the app cannot connect", neither as a firewall message.

Passive like the cast profile: packaged, not activated. The guide says to
scope it to a LAN zone or source, including the libvirt case, where traffic
from a guest to its own hypervisor is not masqueraded and so must be scoped
to the guest subnet rather than the LAN.

chore(client): build against the latest Electron, and stop defining the package twice

Chromium CVEs are fixed in Electron releases, and a client built against
an old one ships those holes to every user. That is a certain harm; a
build that breaks on a new Electron is a repairable one. build-client.sh
now bumps to the latest on every build, prints the comparison, and lets
the build fail if it cannot cope — the failure is the signal to fix, not
a reason to stay behind. It writes package.json and the lockfile on
purpose: the new pin is meant to be committed. A registry it cannot reach
is a warning, not a failure.

Exercised by pinning back to 42.9.2 and building: "==> Electron 42.9.2 ->
44.1.1", exit 0, electron=44.1.1 in the packaged output. Note npm audit
would have said nothing about any of this — Chromium CVEs fixed in
Electron do not reliably reach the npm advisory database.

Separately, package.json declared linux.target [deb, rpm] with its own
deb/rpm depends, so `npm run dist` built a second package under the same
name. The two had drifted: /opt/MeshBay/meshbay-client against
/opt/meshbay-client/meshbay, and Depends: python3-meshbay-common naming
none of the Electron runtime libraries the real DEBIAN/control lists — it
would have installed cleanly and then refused to start. Nothing in the
tree referenced `npm run dist`, which is why the drift was free to
happen. That config is gone, "dist" delegates to build-client.sh, and
test_desktop_shell.py refuses its return.

`--dir` was re-run with no linux block at all: exit 0, same binary
build-client.sh consumes. It needs appId, productName and files, nothing
else.

build(client): say when a build has reset the local chrome-sandbox

`build-client.sh` runs `npm ci`, which deletes node_modules wholesale, then
re-extracts Electron's dist. A chrome-sandbox that had been made root-owned
4755 for local development comes back 755 and owned by whoever ran the build.
Running the app straight from node_modules then aborts outright:

FATAL: The SUID sandbox helper binary was found, but is not configured
correctly. Rather than run without sandboxing I'm aborting now.

Chromium refusing to start beats it quietly dropping the sandbox, and that
refusal is baffling if the crash is not connected to a package build run
minutes earlier — the two look unrelated, and the file's own mtime is 1980
either way, so nothing on it points at what happened.

The build now says so, with the command to put it back. Said and not done: a
build script has no business setting a setuid bit behind someone's back, and
this one uses no sudo. The packaged app was never affected —
packaging/deb/meshbay-client/DEBIAN/postinst does the chown+chmod at install
time, which is where it belongs.

fix(packaging): ship the example hub config, and stop leaving /etc/meshbay open

Three defects, found while answering whether installing the .deb would land
where the production server was just moved to by hand.

- **The example config was never packaged.** `build-hub.sh` copied
  `packaging/conf/hub.toml.example` under `if [ -f ]`, and that path does not
exist in this repo — so every package ever built shipped no example at all
and said nothing about it. The postinst places no config either, on purpose
(a shipped hub.toml is overwritten on upgrade; a shipped secret gets run in
production), which left an installed hub with nothing to copy from. The file
now exists, documents every key `config.py` reads including the captcha
`allowed_hosts` the desktop client needs, and the copy is a hard failure
  rather than a silent skip.

- **`/etc/meshbay` was created 0755.** It holds the hub's Ed25519 private key
and its database password. The file modes protect the contents, but a
world-listable config directory tells anyone with a shell what a hub keeps
and where. Now 0750 root:meshbay, in both the deb postinst and the rpm
scriptlet; the service reads it by group.

- **The rpm would have failed to build on the new file.** `%files` claimed
nothing under /etc, and rpmbuild refuses an installed file no line claims.
It now declares the directory and the example, with explicit `%attr` and
`%config` so an operator's edits become .rpmsave rather than vanishing.

Package modes no longer follow the builder's umask either — the same source
tree produced 775/664 on a machine with umask 002 and 755/644 with 022.
`install -m` sets them.

Verified by building: the deb now carries ./etc/meshbay/ at drwxr-x--- with
hub.toml.example at 0644, and the embedded postinst tightens the directory as
belt and braces rather than as the only thing making it right. The rpm path is
unverified — no rpmbuild on this machine.

refactor(node): JSON-only control API, Node page absorbs the admin dashboard

Remove the node daemon's server-rendered admin UI (GET / and /audit, the
_render_* helpers and inline templates) and the `meshbay-node ui` CLI verb.
The loopback control API stays; it is now JSON only, ruff-clean, and 453
lines (was 1074). Also drop three never-wired endpoints (/api/config,
/api/chat/history, /ws/chat, plus broadcast_chat) and the pointless
18000/tcp firewall profiles.

The desktop client's Node page (static/node-page.js) takes over what the
dashboard showed, reorganised into six tabs (Overview, Groups, Roster,
Peers, Audit, Settings):
- Overview: version, node id, QUIC port, hub, index-cache maintenance
- Roster: node-wide view with unpin
- Peers and Audit: auto-load on open, no Load button
- Audit: real usernames and group names (resolved from the roster and
node.toml), Previous/Next pagination newest-first, Export CSV of every
  matching row
- Settings: node settings, STUN, ICE, denylist, then Unlink from hub

Backend: audit.get_entries gains `offset`; /api/audit and /api/peers
resolve ids to names via a new _display_names helper; CSP tightened to
default-src 'none' now that no HTML is served. draft-v6 sections 2.11 and
2.12 corrected -- the Node page uses the loopback API, not MNP.

One capability is intentionally dropped: browser-based admin on a headless
server. The CLI covers every operation there.

See docs/refactor-node-ui.md.

Shared venv architecture: meshbay-common owns the Python venv with all
pip deps pre-installed; hub and node add only their code into it.
Client is a standalone Electron app. No pip runs at install time.

- Add build scripts (packaging/build/) for common, hub, node, client
- Add orchestrator build-packages.sh with deb/rpm auto-detection
- Add .deb control/postinst for all 4 packages
- Add .rpm specs for all 4 packages (replaces python3-meshbay-common)
- Add Gnome .desktop launcher and icon resizing
- Add firewalld services (meshbay-cast, meshbay-node) and UFW profiles
- Update systemd units to use /opt/meshbay-common/venv/bin/ paths
- TMDB token baked into node package at build time via QE/node.env
- Fix package-lock.json sync for protobufjs override
